Slime - Colorful and Sensory Play

Nowadays, toys are not only figures, blocks or puzzles. If you think about something more creative, you come across something completely different - slime! It is an elastic, sticky mass that delights children and adults with its versatility. What is slime and how to make it at home?

What is slime?

Slime is a type of sensory toy that has sticky and elastic properties. It can come in different colors, textures and scents. Initially associated mainly with fun for children, it has now become a phenomenon that is gaining popularity among various age groups, including adults.
How to make slime at home?
Ingredients:
PVA glue (white or transparent)
Borax solution (water + borax)
Food coloring or slime paints (optional)
Glitter, beads, shaving foam, or other accessories according to your preferences

Instruction:
Preparing the glue: In a small bowl, mix the PVA glue with the selected dye (if using) until a uniform color is obtained.
Preparing the borax solution: In a separate bowl, mix warm water and borax. Remember to dissolve the borax well in the water.
Combining the ingredients: Gradually add the borax solution to the glue bowl, stirring constantly. You will notice that the mass will start to stick together and create a characteristic slime.
Adjusting the consistency: If the slime is still too sticky, add a little more borax solution. If it is too stiff, add some glue.

Add-ons: This is the time to add additions to your slime, such as glitter, beads or shaving foam, to give it additional sensory properties.
Be careful with the proportions: Remember to keep the proportions between the glue and the borax solution in order to obtain the right consistency.

Safety when playing with slime

When playing with slime, it is worth remembering a few things:
Avoid putting it in your mouth: Slime is not intended to be eaten, so be careful not to get it in your mouth.
Limit contact with clothes: Some ingredients may cause stains on clothes, so be careful.
Use under supervision: Especially with younger children, it is a good idea to have adult supervision when playing with slime.
